How It WorksThe Austin Air Bedroom Machine air purifier uses a five stage filtration process to help capture particles, odors, chemicals and smoke. After the bigger particles are removed, the air passes through a second, medium particle pre filter designed to capture particles such as molds, spores and pollen. Fifteen pounds of carbon await the air after it passes through the two pre filters. This carbon is a special blend of carbon designed to remove gases and chemicals such as Sulfuric Acid, Ammonia and Formaldehyde. The fourth layer is a true HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of particles, as small as 0.3 microns.
