This wood is rare in furniture because its hardness makes it difficult to machine without the sophisticated equipment and advanced manufacturing techniques employed in the making of this footstool. The natural oil stained footstool can be expected to weather to a reddish dark grey over time. If the grey tone is preferred, no maintenance is necessary. If the reddish color is preferred, it can be restored by the application of our teak cleaner and protector.
